Adoption :: One Child’s Perspective

Our First Family Photo | Nov 2015

I’ve written several blogs for Lafayette Moms Blog, and each time I write an adoption related blog, I am overwhelmed with emotion. This particular blog is no exception. In celebration of National Adoption Awareness Month (NAAM), I thought it would be nice to include my son’s perspective. Although the focus of NAAM is the children currently in foster care, it is a month meant to share adoption related stories and successes. My son, Armand, is a brand new 7 years old (we just celebrated, as you’ll hear in the video), and has known he was adopted for about a year now.

Armand has lived in our home for about 3 years, and is the answer to so many prayers. Although he never spent time in true foster care, he did not have a stable home prior to joining ours.

You can read more about our adoption story and how our family came to be but this year, you get to hear Armand’s perspective ::
