Dupois Colic Remedy, the St. Martinville Secret

Our community is all about allowing each individual parent to share their journey and what worked for them. As with all parenting decisions, we encourage each family to research their options and make a decision that works for their family. As it relates to another moms’ journey, we encourage respect, support, and kind dialog. If another family’s choice isn’t for yours, that is ok, but we ask opinions be expressed with respect as if you were talking to a local mom face-to-face on the playground. We encourage you speak with your doctor concerning all medications and medical decisions of your child.

When I was pregnant with my first child I started hearing about Dupois Colic Remedy

Girls I worked with in Delcambre swore by it. Neighbors swore by it. Literally everyone who had heard of it said I needed it.

Essentially I should call it in the moment the baby was born.

Honestly, how could anything be that amazing?

Well, we had a colicky baby. I brought that fussy thing home and he just cried about everything. Gas, potentially having gas, that fact that he had gas previously, he was your poster child for colic. That first few weeks I tried everything typically suggested, namely gas drops. They touched the issue, but caused the biggest explosive diapers known to mankind.

Somewhere in my new mama fog, I remembered the tales of this magical elixir that would solve all my problems and lead to world peace.

I called in my order and hit the road headed for St. Martinville. It worked. We got more sleep. The baby cried less. He wasn’t miserable from gas and colic. That little bottle lived up to all its promises.

Fast forward to baby number 2. I ordered a bottle the first week we were home.

And let me tell you, I haven’t been up half the night with a screaming baby.

His little tummy is content and mama is getting way more sleep on kid round 2.

So Mamas, if you haven’t used Dupois Colic Remedy, consider driving out to St. Martinville and picking up a bottle. It’s worth the drive and the money. Take it from one previously sleep deprived mama to another.

In case you’re looking for more colic and gas remedies, also try out the Fridababy Windi. I used this most the first 4 weeks. The Windi is my favorite way to preforming my pediatrician’s suggestion of using a cotton swab with Vaseline on it to help with gas. This was a great option for when he needed to pass gas and poop but couldn’t do it. Fixed the issue immediately.

I know some other mamas have used Dupois, share in the comments! If you’ve tried their other remedies share that too, I’ve been dying to try to teething one.

  1. Hi! We actually just got our bottle in, but I am a little confused by the directions. I tried emailing but the email address provided in my confirmation email kicked back to me and a call was not answered. Per the instructions It says to provide a dosage prior to feeding and then continues to say breastfed moms should give a dosage after nursing if fussy. Do I follow both dosages or just the one that says to provide after (I am breastfeeding)? Hoping you have some insight from your use!

    • Calling them on the phone would be the easiest, I know they aren’t open every day. I didn’t give it throughout the day, instead I only gave it once at night before bed. When I talked to the lady in person she always suggested giving it about 15 minutes before a feeding. – Emily
