Caitlin made her way to Lafayette more than a decade ago, after growing up in North Carolina and then graduating from the University of Georgia. Since then, she married the man who introduced her to Cajun country, and they welcomed their now 5 year old daughter into the world. She spends her days working in marketing, telling stories using her bag of digital tricks. When she’s not working or wrangling her tiny human, she can be found running (slowly), testing new baking recipes (ask about her almond poppyseed bread), or wielding a glue gun for her latest craft project.

Never Have I Ever: Mom Edition

Most of us probably played the game "Never Have I Ever" sometime in our younger days. Take turns going around the table, naming things you'd never done, trying to look cool, and maybe calling...

Forget Resolutions: Make Your Changes Today

We're well past the start of the new year, and I think that's the perfect time to set new goals for yourself. The holiday craziness is behind us, and we're settled back into our...

Take the Help: How Saying Yes Can Make All the Difference

There are lots of ways we can react when we see someone else's child throwing an unholy fit in the middle of Target: sympathetic smile, judgey-judgement, pretend it's not happening, just be thankful it's...

Always Check Your Pockets …. or the Totally PG Reason My Underwear is Covered...

It started innocently enough. It always does. We (finally) took family pictures on a Sunday morning. We planned to get everyone up and dressed, take pictures, pick up some donuts on the way home, and...

My Christmas Wish: Less Stuff

Our daughter isn't just our only child. She's the only granddaughter/niece or nephew on both sides of our family. That means she has three loving great-grandparents, five grandparents, and six aunts and uncles all...
