Bendel Gardens
If you haven’t visited this house, make sure to put it at the top of your list! The home located at 305 Bendel in the Bendel Gardens neighborhood has the most amazing light show. The music is synced with the show and can be heard through your radio when tuned to the specific station they have posted at the home.
Noel Acadien au Village
Christmas at LARC’s Acadian Village is a classic. You won’t want to miss this two-acre 500,000 light dream. Carnival rides, music, merchants, and the jolly man himself aren’t a bad bonus either.
The event will run from December 3-23rd 5:30 pm to 9 pm nightly, weather permitting. Tickets can be purchased online for $9, local Shop Rites for $8, and at the gate for $10. Children 2 and under are FREE!
Bridge Point Farms
A new addition to our list this year is one you won’t want to miss! Lafayette’s first driver-thru light-up adventure with over half a million lights. They’ve pulled out all of the stops to make your Christmas memorable. Make sure to visit from 6pm to 11pm, beginning November 24th through December 24th. Tickets can be purchased upon entry for $25 per car and $40 for larger vehicles. Please note, only cash is accepted. They will also have wonderful activities during the weekends from 10am to 2pm. Christmas at Bridge Point is sure to become a Lafayette tradition!
Techneaux Technology Services
This business located at 312 Westgate is at it again! Lights and music! The company has used the musical styling of some of the top performers in the past and I’m sure this year will be just as amazing.
St. Lucy Festival of Lights
St. Martin de Tours catholic church in St. Martinville lights up the square beginning on December 11. The event begins with mass at 4 pm and continues with activities until and after the lighting at 6 pm.
West Bayou Parkway
You can take a drive down this well-known road and see beautiful houses with over-the-top decorations! It’s a great drive for any day of the week.
Santa’s Workshop
Make sure to bring your little ones to 163 Antigua where you’ll be greeted by a larger-than-life polar bear. There is also a giant mailbox to drop off their wish lists that will be sent to the North Pole, a photo op with the Grinch and if you’re lucky enough you may get to with Mr. and Mrs. Clause. If driving by, make sure to stop, get out of the car, and enjoy all the details.
New Iberia – Main Street Historic District
New Iberia’s Main Street Historic District will be lit up and will be one you won’t want to miss. Take a drive and explore the extravagant decorations the community puts their hearts into.
Merry & Bright Christmas Light Show
Visit 319 Lucerne Drive in New Iberia. Tune your radio to 95.1 FM and enjoy a wonderful show beginning November 28th and running through December 28th. Every Saturday night will be a special show named “Louisiana Saturday Night.” Make sure to like their Facebook page to get all the latest information.
12 Yards of Christmas
Enjoy a Christmas Light Tour through Acadiana that ends with a Christmas light show featuring more than 20,000 lights! The Christmas Light Tour will start December 5th and run through December 30th. Download a map (it will be available starting December 4th) and drive by the 12 (plus more) yards throughout Acadiana that are decorated for Christmas. Use our suggested route or make your own!
Roundabout Tour in Youngsville
Every roundabout in Youngsville will come alive with Penguins on Parade, Christmas Carnival, Toy Soldiers, Santa on his tractor, Santa Land, Toy Land, Winter Skating Rink and Santa and his Snowmen. Lights will be up from dusk to down every night through Christmas.
Captain Rick Drive
After you take the tour of Youngsville’s roundabouts, swing by Captain Rick Drive in Copper Meadows. There are a couple great houses to visit. One even has a selfie opportunity in a VW van cutout!
Downtown DeRidder Christmas Light Show
The DeRidder Christmas Light Show will be Dec. 1 through Jan. 1, from 5:30 p.m. to Midnight, in downtown DeRidder near City Hall. Tune in to FM 101.1 upon arrival.
Prehistoric Park Light Show
Take a drive to Henderson and visit the dinosaurs! Stop by Prehistoric Park to experience their festive lighted trail. November the lights will be lit Fridays through Sundays 6pm to 8 pm. December you’ll be able to see the the lights Thursdays and Sundays 6pm to 8pm and Fridays and Saturdays 6pm to 9pm. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for kids.
Gentry Place Neighborhood Lights
You’ll want to make a trip to a new addition to our list. The homeowners have a list of songs set to a beautiful light show. This is their second year for the show and they are going all our this year! Visit 303 Doug Drive in Lafayette and enjoy their work.
The Downtown Deridder, La lights that go from Dec 4th through the first of the year. they are awesome and there is something new every year.
Great way to share the Christmas spirit and traditions with kiddos!
Prehistoric Park in Henderson had an amazing dinosaur trail that they decorated with lights. They even have an area at the end with snow and 2 special guests.
