Breakfast with the Easter Bunny (March 9) :: Join us for a pancake breakfast with the Easter Bunny! Last year we had so much fun so I hope that you can join us. Help raise awareness and funding for mental health services for families in South Louisiana. Buy a Ticket – Give a Ticket: Your purchase of a ticket will allow a child in need to attend for FREE. We will be partnering with Foster the Love and CASA and distribute tickets as needed. We will have fun activities for the kids as well to cope with stress. Tickets: $10/person ages 2+

Easter Bunny Breakfast (March 9) :: The Easter Bunny is coming to your local Chick-fil-A in New Iberia! Join us for a special morning to take some pictures! Pictures with the Easter Bunny at the Jockey Lot (March 9) :: Hippity Hop the Easter Bunny is making his way! Saturday March 9th from 10:30am-3pm at the Jockey Lot Flea Market. Booth Number will be posted the week of. No appointments are needed. Professional Photos starting at $8.00.

Eggfest (March 16) :: Eggfest is a free community Easter Egg Hunt.
Everyone is welcome, with activities for all children, and egg hunts for ages 2-11. Eggfest offers pictures with the Easter Bunny, pony rides, fun jumps, food, games, giveaways, and more! Peeps French Macarons (February 24) :: In this class students will learn how to properly pipe, fill, assemble and decorate these cute colorful bunny and chick shaped macs! Each student will pipe enough shells to make up to 9 large macs! It’s Just a Cookie staff will bake them off. While in the oven you will see how the infamous mac batter comes together. Learning the tips and tricks to master this temperamental cookie! Once cooled students will receive their macs and can begin filling and assembling. They will also learn about stuffing their macs with countless filling combinations!

Bunny Tart Cookie Class (February 24) :: It’s Just A Cookie is hosting a Bunny Tart Cookie Class for Ages 6 and older. In this class students will assemble two bunny tart cookies adorned with candies, chocolate, button macs, sprinkles and more!

Pretty Peeps Cookie Class (March 2) :: Perfect beginners class!! Learn all the basics and some fun additional easy flowers accents just in time for Easter!!! Hosted by It’s Just A Cookie

Bunny Butt Cake Pops (March 3) :: In this class you will learn how to make these adorable little cake pops! Each student will make and take home 9 cake pops complete with sweet little pink bows! You will learn all the tricks to making the perfect cake pop dough, how to properly measure and form them into perfect spheres and lastly how to dip them with little to no lumps, bumps and cracks! Peeps Cake And 8 (March 9) :: Can’t decide on cake or cupcakes or Cookies??? Well, here’s the class for you! Learn how to make this super adorable Bento Style box! Each student will decorate a 6″ Cake adorned with 3 decorated cookies sprinkles as well as 8 cupcakes! Peeps Petit Fours (March 10) :: This is a “hands on demo” style class. Rachel will show you how to prep your cake, cut into the perfect squares, coat them in a delicious sweet glaze and of course how to decorate them with beautiful tasty accents. Easter Cookie Decorating Class (March 17) :: Each participant will be able to decorate a total of 5 different sugar cookies! Refreshments will also be provided for your enjoyment! During the class, you’ll have the opportunity to learn various decorating techniques, including piping, flooding, and creating intricate patterns. You’ll also get to take home your beautifully decorated cookies, so you can impress your family and friends with your newfound skills.

Bouki’s Baker Easter Cookie Class (March 30) :: Hop infor a fun afternoon of cookie decorating at the best kept secret in Lafayette-Coffeeweed Cottage. All levels welcome. Food and beverages will be available for purchase during the class.

EggstravaganZoo (March 2 – 30) :: Celebrate daily during normal business hours, weather permitting with an Easter Egg-Themed Scavenger Hunt! Candy treat bag upon exit (for children 12 and under). Photo Opp Spot for this year’s Easter Family Photo! Normal zoo admission and Zoosiana Members get in free!

Standing Egg Workshop (March 2) :: Come and create a beautiful standing egg (15.5” x 21”) to add to your spring decor! In this fun workshop, you will use Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and IOD-Iron Orchid Designs transfers and stamps. You will have many options to choose from to create your style! All supplies are included.

Egg Adventure (March 22) :: Join us for a spring-themed story and egg hunt, then make a craft and play with bubbles! Ages 2-5. Registration is required and begins 2 weeks before program date.

Pacques in the Parc (March 30) :: A non-profit organization dedicated to promoting cultural diversity and supporting music and art. We got together in 2022 with the idea to bring friends and family and surrounding areas together during Easter Weekend to share the best food, music, and traditions that the Creoles and Cajuns cultures have to offer.

Emily Miller
Emily is a dual citizen, residing in Lafayette, Louisiana, yet a temporary visitor in her other residency of Germany. She is a wife of four years and full time working mother to two kids: a 2.5 year old girl (C) and 5 month old boy (H). Having graduated from LSU with her bachelors, she continued her education by getting her Masters in Business Administration from UL. Working in management in retail, her schedule frequently varies and consists of unusual hours, but she embraces that as extra time with her children. While off the clock, Emily pours herself a cup of decaf coffee, plays in a room filled with toddler toys, teaches her children German, and attempts to be a scrunchy Montessori inspired mama with goals of raising independent children.
