Welcome to our FIRST ANNUAL “GUIDE TO LAFAYETTE EASTER EVENTS AND CAMPS!” We have rounded up your favorite Easter events and activities for kids and families in and around the Lafayette area. A guide complete with Easter Bunny pictures, egg hunts and other spring events, there is no shortage of fun to be hand. If you are looking for egg hunts to host at home, lent approved dinners or a Cajun pacque-ing tradition, we’ve also got you covered! While there are a lot of things for kids to do in Lafayette during spring break, we have also included day camps for the kids, available for a single day or all Spring Break week! Check back frequently as we add to the never-ending list of fun here in Lafayette and the Acadiana area as events are announced. Let’s hop to it!

Where to See the Easter Bunny in Lafayette

Pictures with the Easter Bunny at The Jockey Lot (March 18, March 25, April 1) :: Hippity hop the Easter Bunny is on his way. Come on our to the Jockey Lot from 10am-3pm. Pictures start at $3 and no appointment is needed. Visit Ke Ke’s Photography Events for complete list of dates and times.
Breakfast With The Easter Bunny (March 18) :: Half Shell Oyster House is hosting a pancake breakfast and photos with the Easter Bunny! Join us from 7:30 am – 10 am and help raise funding for the LHS Lionettes Dance Team. $12/person for ages 2+
Breakfast With The Easter Bunny (March 25) :: Half Shell Oyster House is hosting a pancake breakfast and photos with the Easter Bunny! Join us 7:30 am – 10 am and help raise funding for mental health services for those in need. $10/person for ages 2+
Easter Bunny Photos at American Factory Direct Furniture (March 25) :: Come visit American Factory Direct Furniture to get your pictures with the Easter Bunny! 1-2 FREE photos per family from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Cookies with the Easter Bunny & Friends (March 26) :: Hop on over and join Marble Slab Creamery & Great American Cookies Center Square in Carencro for Cookies with the Easter Bunny & Friends event! Purchase a pack of 4 cookies to decorate and receive your Easter bunny ticket. With this ticket it will give you time to visit our special bunny and snap a picture or two. But don’t hop away too fast! We will have a petting zoo available from 10am-11:30am with animals ranging from bunny’s to goats. FREE games & activities will be played throughout the day with multi chances to leave with a Easter basket prize! Egg coloring station, sack races, egg toss, egg spoon race, bingo & much more. Easter Bunny at The Little Gym! (March 26) :: Up to 5 families will enjoy time and pictures with Easter Bunny himself! Professional pictures included! Then, play in the gym with the Bunny’s friends! Price is per family, so only register once! Parents stay! Pricing: $40 members, $55 non-members
Easter Egg Hunts in Lafayette

Living Hope Easter Egg Hunt (March 19) :: Are you ready for an eggcelent time? We will be hosting an Easter egg hunt for SINGLE mom’s and children. We will also serve lunch and have games. Must sign up to attend.
Saketini’s 4th Annual Easter EGGstravaganza (March 26) :: Saketini Sushi & Hibachi will be hosting the 4th Annual Easter Egg Hunt at 12:30pm. This family friendly FREE event will include an area for the kids to decorate their own Easter Eggs, bounce house, face painting, and kids games. Complimentary mimosas will be available, live music by Cliff Bernard and Cj’s Snowballs will be providing some yummy snacks and treats.
LARC’s Spring Fair/Easter Extravaganza (April 1) :: Join us for day of Spring Family Fun at LARC’s Acadian Village Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 10am-2pm. Stroll through the village while browsing the booths of local vendors. Activities include photos with the Easter Bunny by Bountiful Imagery, Easter craft, fun jump and egg hunt.

First Baptist Church Youngsville Community Wide Easter Egg Hunt (April 1) :: Join First Baptist Church for a community wide Easter Egg Hunt from 10am – 1pm!
Eggfest (April 1) :: Children ages 2-11 will enjoy food, games, bounce house, pony rides and an egg hunt with thousands eggs, and photos with the Easter Bunny!
Easter Egg Hunt at Northwood UMC (April 2) :: All are invited to a fun-filled Easter Egg Hunt at Northwood UMC. Following our Palm Sunday service at 9:00 AM, and a covered-dish brunch at 10:00 AM, our Easter Egg Hunt will also include bounce houses, games, and balloon gifts for kids of all ages.
Second Annual Cumulus Media Easter Egg Hunt (April 2) :: Grab the kids and join Cumulus Media for the 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt presented by Hampton Toyota at Moncus Park, Sunday April 2nd, from 2p-4pm.
2KB Farm Easter Bash (April 2) :: We will be having our first Easter event. This will consist of our light opening of our petting zoo, pony rides and a day at our farm. Take pictures with the Easter bunny, local vendors to shop and learning how to grow your own garden! We will have: pony rides are $2.00, cup of feed $1.00, arts and crafts, Easter egg hunt times! Please come join us!
Easter Egg Hunt in Carencro (April 5) :: Hosted by Vatican Baptist Church. This egg hunt is for kids aged birth-12 years old. We will also have games, crafts, and prizes!
Community Easter Egg Hunt (April 8) :: This event is free to the public! We will have food, drinks, games, face painting, snacks, prizes and much more!
Junior Auxiliary of Abbeville Easter Egg Hunt (April 8) :: A FREE community event for Vermilion Parish families! Enjoy pictures with the Easter Bunny, and an Egg Hunt @ 12:30 so bring your Easter Basket.n Patricia LeDoux will be there with her face painting booth at $8.00.
Easter Extravaganza (April 8-9) :: Join Our Savior’s Church for an Easter egg hunt and fun jumps for 1st – 5th graders!

Buttercream Flowers Cupcake Class (March 9) :: It’s Just A Cookie is hosting a Buttercream Flower Cup Cake Class, all supplies included. Students ages 12 and older are welcome and may bring a drink and snacks. In this class you will learn about different types of American buttercream and how to use each. We will focus on the Buttercream Rose as well as some russian tips to create beautiful multicolored flowers. Rachel will teach you different methods for coloring your buttercream to achieve fun bright color patterns.
St. Paddy’s Day Cookie Class (March 11) :: Piece of Cake Lafayette Bakery is hosting a cookie decorating class. In this class you’ll learn to decorate and will take home 6 St. Paddy’s themed cookies! Class will include recipes, instructions, and gift bag. Children welcome (will substitute out beer cookie)!
St. Paddy’s Day Cake Decorating Class (March 11) :: Piece of Cake Lafayette Bakery is hosting a cake decorating class. You’ll decorate a St. Paddy’s day themed cake from start to finish! Will include stacking, filling, and decorating!
Pallet Knife Flower Class (March 12) :: It’s Just A Cookie is hosting a technique only pallet knife flower class, perfect to display newly learned floral decorating skills at spring events. Students 12 and older are welcomed. All supplies included.
St. Patty Cake Pop Class (March 16) :: A Baker’s Choice is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day Themed class! Sip. Socialize. Create sweet stuff! All supplies will be provided to make 10 cake pops. You may bring green beer, or any other drink of choice.
St. Patty’s Day Mac Class (March 17) :: It’s Just A Cookie is hosting a St. Patty’s Day French Macaron Class with all Supplies Included. Students may bring a drink and apron. In this class students will learn how to properly pipe, fill, assemble and decorate these beautiful green and gold macs! While in the oven you will see how the infamous mac batter comes together. Learning the tips and tricks to master this temperamental cookie! Once cooled students will receive their macs and can begin filling and assembling. They will also learn about stuffing their macs with countless filling combinations!
Garden Bunny Cookie Class (March 25) :: It’s Just A Cookie is hosting a cooking decorating class for ages 12 and older. Each student will decorate and take home adorable Garden themed Easter sugar cookies. This class is packed with valuable tips, tricks and techniques! Each student will receive a class packet filled with recipes and so much more!
Pretty Peeps Cookie Class (March 25) :: It’s Just A Cookie is hosting a cookie decorating class for ages 8 and older (Students 8-11 will require an adult present). Perfect beginners class! Learn all the basics and some fun additional easy flowers accents just in time for Easter! All Supplies included. Students may bring a drink and a apron.
Little Lamb Cookie Class (March 26) :: It’s Just A Cookie is hosting a cookie decorating class for ages 12 and older. All supplies included. You may bring a beverage of your choice and a apron. Each student will decorate and take home adorable Lamb themed Easter sugar cookies. This class is packed with valuable tips, tricks and techniques! Each student will receive a class packet filled with recipes and so much more!
Spring Time Cookie Class (April 1) :: A Baker’s Choice is hosting a cookie decorating class with 4 time Food Network Champion, Kayla Giddings, as the instructor! Learn how to decorate a variety of cookies as either individual or a Parent and Me combo!
Spring Cookies and Cupcakes Class (April 2) :: It’s Just A Cookie is hosting a Easter Cookies and Cupcakes Class, all supplies included. Students may bring an apron and drink. Learn how to make bunny faces, bunny butts and mini carrots adorned with bows and glitter! Then you will learn how to color, bag and pipe with buttercream icing on 12 cupcakes to take home and enjoy! This is a perfect class for beginners or a “parent and me” with a child.
Easter Bunny Cake Class (April 4) :: Piece of Cake Lafayette Bakery is hosting! Decorate this adorable bunny cake from start to finish! Class lasts approximately 2 hours. Includes filling, stacking, crumb coating, and final decorations! Children are more than welcome (if you think they would require extra help, we ask that an adult stay to help them!
Easter Cookie Class (April 6) :: Piece of Cake Lafayette Bakery is hosting! Easter cookie decorating class! Decorate and take home 6 Easter themed sugar cookies. Children welcome (if you think they need a little extra help, we ask that an adult accompany them)! Class lasts approximately 2 hours.
Spring Events in Lafayette

Iron Orchid Designs Standing Egg Workshop (February 25) :: The Royal Standard is hosting spring decor event! Come and create a beautiful standing egg to add to your spring decor! In this fun workshop, you will be using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint along with IOD-Iron Orchid Designs and transfers and stamps. You will have many options to choose from to create your style!
Zoo of Acadiana Scavenger Hunt (March 1 – April 8) :: Come have a wild time at the Zoo of Acadiana in this family friendly Easter fun! Pick up a scavenger hunt sheet. After you’ve finishing playing and learning, bring your completed scavenger hunt sheet to the front office for a special Easter treat!
Why Care About Birds (March 14) :: For the Birds of Acadiana will cover a variety of topics, including simple actions to protect birds around your home or workplace and steps to take if you find an injured, ill, or orphaned bird.
Native Plant Walk With Acadiana Native Plant Project (March 14) :: Meet volunteers from the Acadiana Native Plant Project for an informal native plant walk around the park. Experts will point out natives in the landscaped and natural areas as well as non-native invasives posing challenges. Learn how these plants and designs support ecological functions like pollinators, birds, and stormwater management.
Garden Talks with Master Gardeners (March 15) :: Learn from a Master Gardener about all things plants in their monthly “Garden Talks” series. This season, topics include composting, basic garden bed designs and more!
St Patrick’s Day Shamrock Shake (March 17) :: Come celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and listen to Louisiana Red play from 7pm-11pm! Tickets include entry, band and meal. Tickets are available on Event Brite or any Cajun Fitness location: Rayne, Eunice, Opelousas, Youngsville & Broussard
Celtic Bayou Festival (March 17 & 18) :: Get ready Acadiana for the biggest IRISH BLOCK PARTY that downtown Lafayette has ever had! Dust off your green clothing and join us on Friday, March 17th (actual St. Patrick’s Day) & Saturday March 18th at Hideaway on Lee! Tickets required, Kids 6 and under are FREE. Guinness Beer cook-off, Bailey’s bake-off, live music, face painting, St. Patrick’s Day crafts provided by The Lafayette Children’s Museum, Bingo, Red Head and Costume Competitions, Irish dancers, Caledonian bagpipes, whiskey tasting from the Celtic Nations, and pub crawl. Special thanks to Ancient Order of Hibernians for helping run the event.
Boilin’ Bash 2023 (March 18) :: A crawfish boil hosted by the Ragin Cajun Catholics. Location and ticket sales to be announced.
Westminster Spring Market & Festival (March 18) :: Spring Market + Festival is a family and community event held on the Lafayette Campus. Our classes and organizations sponsor fun, carnival-style booths for all ages in addition to a cook-off, and various performances! We will also have vendors from around the community selling their goods. You don’t want to miss it! Invite your neighbors, family, and friends — all are welcome!
Crawfish Boil for the Little Lambs (March 25) :: Enjoy music, food and vendors at the 30th annual crawfish boil. Tickets will include 5 pounds of crawfish, corn and potato plus a drink.
Asbury Spring Fair (March 25) :: Plan to join us for this festive and fun occasion for all ages on Saturday March 25th from 4 pm – 6:30 pm! FREE activities include: Pony Rides, Children’s Carnival Games, Fun Jumps, Face Painting, Festive Photo Op, and Classic Cars. $1 Activities and Options: Popcorn, Cotton Candy, Hotdogs, Chili Taster Cup, Chips, Drinks, Desserts. $2 Activities and Options: Cake Walk, Nachos, Bowl of Chili
5th Annual Basin Brew Fest (March 25) :: 5th Annual Basin Brew Fest, come out and pass a good time and help support our mission of revitalization of Lawrence Park while tasting the best of what the Boot has to offer in craft beer!
Lafayette Holi Festival (March 25) :: Holi is a colorful festival that is open to everyone and is held annually at Girard Park. Acadiana Indian Association brings this unforgettable experience to you in the form of Lafayette Holi every year on last Saturday of March. Its been a Lafayette tradition since 2011.
Spring Carnival by Broadmoor PTO (April 1) :: Broadmoor PTO’s annual Carnival is BACK! Food, games, Fun jumps, maze, confetti eggs, prizes, silent auction and more! Come join us for this amazing event!
Hop Into Spring 2023 Health Fair (April 1) :: Hop on by for a family friendly day of activities, health education, free food, and more.
HOPEFEST: Free Music Festival, featuring Dave Barnes, Brandon Heath, and Matt Wertz (April 1) :: Hopefest 2023 is Saturday, April 1st at Moncus Park in Lafayette, LA, featuring Nashville artists Dave Barnes, Brandon Heath, and Matt Wertz. Join us for music, food, and a fun time while supporting The RescYOU Group and the St. Thomas More Options program! Our 5K will start off at 9:00 AM while festivities last all day from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. This year, admission is FREE!
Paques in the Parc (April 7 & 8) :: A two-day celebration of Cajun and Creole Heritage with live music, vendors, food, and fun for the entire family.
Easter Event @ Surge Entertainment by Drew Brees (April 8) :: Hop into the Easter spirit with Surge Entertainment! Festival des Fleurs de Louisiane – 30th Anniversary (April 15) :: Festival des Fleurs de Louisiane is the premier garden show and sale for the Acadiana area. Gardening-related vendors provide the show’s main attraction. Festival-goers will discover a wealth of resources and activities as local gardening societies host displays and informational kiosks that will share gardening techniques with attendees. Food trucks will serve lunch, snacks, and coffee, so bring the family and make a day of it! Admission: $4 online presale, $5 at the door, Children under 12 get in free!
Scott Boudin Festival (April 14-16) :: Experience a weekend full of fun! Music, dance, arts, crafts and boudin!
Springfest – A Moncus Park Showcase (April 22) :: Moncus Park invites nature lovers and families to visit the park to learn from community experts and businesses about gardening, plants, and the ecosystem! The event will host symposium speakers, assisted tree climbing, kite flying, environmental vendors, park tours, and more. This event is FREE to the public and FREE parking!
