Pizza is sacred
Okay okay okay, hear me out. I come from an Italian family, pizza is sacred. When I saw this on tik tok I actually thought to myself, “what kind of human would make a crust out of chicken?!” Alas, we have a gluten-free child and an anti-carb husband (I’m not sure how I even ended up with a true psychopath like that)! The recipe is really easy and actually super delicious and doesn’t require a lot of ingredients – we had everything we needed already.
Bonus points
Bonus points because it’s really fun for the kids to make also. I doubled this recipe and made a pizza big enough for my husband and me, but if you just use the single recipe everyone can have their own individual pizzas.
All you need is:
One can of chicken
1 egg
1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese
and whatever toppings you’d like
Step one: preheat your oven to 375 degrees
Step two: mix one can of chicken (can be found in the grocery store by the canned tuna), one egg, and Parmesan cheese. Feel free to take some creative liberty and season this: I used garlic and onion powder, salt and pepper, and obviously a hint of Tony’s.
Step three: line a pizza pan with parchment paper and spray with cooking spray. Put the chicken on the pizza pan and pack it down. (pro tip: use your hands to shape it)!
Step four: Bake the crust for 30 minutes.
Step five: Once the crust is done, add your toppings (we used marinara sauce, pepperonis, mozzarella cheese, Italian sausage, and mushrooms – but the tik tok user used Alfredo, mozzarella cheese, spinach, and more chicken)! Bake for another 15 minutes. Then enjoy!
