What Your Teacher Friends Really Want This Time of Year

Most likely, you have some friends in your life who are teachers. In August, they are physically tired, mentally exhausted, and have brains on overload 24/7.

The first week of school, it may 100% be necessary to give your teacher friends some space to get their beginning of school year life together. However, as late August and September roll around, try to reach out to your teacher friends in the following ways to lift their spirits.

Coffee Date

Your teacher friend will love getting together with you for some one-on-one time to have an adult conversation. They will be able to decompress and share how life has been going without little listening ears.

Girls Dinner

It feels good for a teacher to be in a situation where they are not the only adult in the room! Going out for a girls dinner is the perfect way to fill your teacher friend’s cup with some quality friend time and FUN!

Go on a walk with them

It’s true that teachers never sit down all day, but it’s also true that we are just walking around in circles inside a small classroom 🫠. Help your teacher friend to get some fresh air and longer strides in by going on a walk together outdoors.

Special Delivery

If you aren’t able to give your teacher friend any quality time right now, send them a special treat! A coffee gift card, handwritten note, or “back to school” flower delivery will truly brighten their day and lift their spirits.

Back to school time is draining for everyone, especially teachers! Give your teacher friend the gift of YOU to give them life during this exhausting time.
