Coming Soon to Lafayette :: New Businesses We Can’t Wait to Check Out

My family and I have lived in the Lafayette area for nearly two years. One of the best things about living in Acadiana? There is ALWAYS something happening! The city continues to grow and with that growth comes even more things to do. Here are four (out of many) of the upcoming businesses set to open soon. Time to get excited, ya’ll!

The Chimes Restaurant & Tap Room::

As a newcomer to South Louisiana, I am not familiar with “Chimes” but everyone I speak to here in the Lafayette Area are super excited about the restaurant coming in. I checked out their website for both Baton Rogue and Covington locations, and “Chimes” appears to be full of team spirit, local cuisine, and a hefty beer line up. I like to judge a restaurant on two menu offerings: their spinach artichoke dip and bread pudding. “Chimes” has this and more so stay tuned to see if they rate! Atmosphere is also at the top of my list. You can’t beat a great atmosphere. I’ve read that “Chimes” in Lafayette will have a raised patio around old oak trees. You can follow their progress HERE.

Superior Bar & Grill::

I was a young twenty-something-year-old the first time I experienced Superior Bar & Grill in Shreveport. The atmosphere, good times and MARGARITAS are still an honored tradition in my family. Naturally, we are uber excited to hear that Superior Bar & Grill received their building permit TODAY in Lafayette! They are set to build at 2320 Kaliste Saloom Road. I could not find an estimated Grand Opening date but put our name on the waitlist! Check their progress on Shreveport’s Superior Bar & Grill Facebook page HERE.

Top Golf ::

My husband and boys are thrilled to have Top Gold coming to Lafayette. They’ve been to a few in Texas and love the experience. Top Golf is a multi level building with a driving range, gaming options, and a full menu! Top Golf is set to build on 12 acres next to Costco but plans have not been released as this post is written. Dear Top Golf, tell us more, please! As for now, I’m following their website HERE to keep a track on progress.

Dave & Buster’s ::

There are never too many places to have a party! And I’m always ready to show off my mad air hockey skills! We are thrilled that, according to “Developing Lafayette” Website: “Dave & Buster’s has filed a legit permit to build a new 22,213-square-foot facility at 201 Spring Farm Road in the Phase 2 portion of Ambassador Town Center aka The Costco Development.” While I could not find a building date, follow Dave and Buster’s website HERE to keep track of the progress. Air Hockey dual anyone?

More to Come!

Here are a few more business coming to the area:

Amanda Kosmer
Amanda grew up in East Texas with the last name of “Thibodeaux”. As a child, she found her last name was very odd and even more peculiar to pronounce! She and her husband are recent transplants to Youngsville where they are raising their two energetic boys. Amanda is a girly girl who loves all things feminine: the sparkle of new earrings; the glamour of a perfectly red lipstick. She has proclaimed to be many things: an old soul born in the wrong era, a land-locked mermaid, and a bull in a china shop. A booklover since she can remember, Amanda indulges herself in the smell of freshly printed pages and can’t stand the stench of an old book… she wonders “who else has touched that book and what images did they conjure up as they read the very same tale?” This thing is for certain, however, Amanda is a mother who believes in the power of Faith, dreams, and imagination. One of Amanda’s most favorite quotes by Erin Hanson gives wings to her dreams: “What if I fall? Oh, but darling, what if you fly?”
