The Easiest and Tastiest Cajun* Dinner You’ll Ever Make

Seriously. I caught my family licking the sauce from the bowl. This super simple, low-ingredient “recipe” will be sure to become a staple, if it isn’t already. But there is a secret ingredient – if you haven’t discovered it yet, you’ll be wondering how you missed it your whole cooking life.

Cajun Power Spaghetti Sauce

If you are unfamiliar with the Cajun Power brand, you can feel assured of its true cajun influence as it is a local brand here in Acadiana. They have a variety of products from jellies to sauces to seasonings.

There is a reason, though, their spaghetti sauce is unlike anything you’ve grown accustomed to as it relates to sauce in a jar. Their flavorful recipe includes spices and onions cooked down, which really means you don’t have to do much extra at all. For those nights I’m in a pinch, all I need is ground beef, a jar of Cajun Power Spaghetti Sauce, and noodles. BAM. Instant dinner that didn’t take long to make at all. Plus it gives you the most satisfying cajun spice you could ask for.

Do your kids hate spicy food? No problem. I add a little bit of water to my daughter’s bowl to dilute the spices and she loves this dish.

As with most meals – you can make it as elaborate or simple as you want. If you’re feeling extra, you can throw in some mushrooms or more onions before you add the sauce, paired with a salad and some garlic bread to complete the meal. My personal favorite is adding some fancy parmesan cheese as the finishing touch. (This can also make an incredible side dish if you’re having company over. Simply add Fritos and cheese to wow your guests.)

Another benefit to using this brand is it is available at our local stores in Lafayette and surrounding areas, so you don’t have to worry about special ordering their spaghetti sauced. Put this on your next grocery list and let me know if it is a game-changer for spaghetti night!
