The Lafayette Moms Blog Team had a wonderful and relaxing tri-city team retreat at the Jung Hotel  with the ladies of New Orleans Moms Blog and Red Stick Moms Blog. We spent the weekend brainstorming and collaborating to plan the best content and upcoming events for our readers. The space provided by the Jung Hotel was the perfect place for us to unwind, have a little bit of fun, and put our best foot forward planning for the next year across our three Louisiana parenting sites. This luxury hotel’s newest facelift certainly set the stage for a successful weekend.

The stairwells beg of grander days where one might don a gown and enjoy a cocktail party on their mezzanine. In fact, they have the ability to accommodate large parties with space for up to a 1,000 person reception or a smaller event where one can still dance comfortably. Our weekend events were held in the conference rooms which accounted for a small meeting room, a small office and storage space, and a large banquet hall where our some 80+ team members and guests could move around freely.

The rooms were equally impressive – think sleek and sophisticated married with comfort

The rooms were extremely spacious with a white, marbled tile floor, blue-gray fabric headboards, and accents of tan and gold to bring in warmth. Anne Elise Doise
Anne Elise, a Lafayette native, is enjoying the joys of motherhood while balancing her career as a real estate agent for a local company and working for the Lafayette Mom. Between the day to day household affairs and keeping up with her little blue eyed boy, she also enjoys anything to work up a sweat, Broadway musicals, cooking classes, and football! She and her husband, Michael, met in high school, but thought it would be easier to start a relationship while she attended graduate school in Dallas and while he pursued his MBA in New Orleans (just a bit of sarcasm). A few short months after they married, they took off again to Houston where Anne Elise became a law school career counselor for the University of Houston Law Center. She and her husband have finally made their way home again to Cajun Country.
