Road Tripping with Kids

My family and I are gearing up for a trip to Disney World at the end of the month. I am beginning to prep for the 11 hour road trip with a 4 & 5 year old and praying that we can all remain sane. HAHAHA! We are all so excited for the trip and will be meeting up with my brother and his family on the road there. My biggest hope is that the anticipation of the trip will help with the boredom going, and the sheer exhaustion from a marathon 5 days in Disney World will help on the ride home. Some of the items that I am packing for the ride are …..

Snacks

My girls love all snacks, but a few snacks that we cannot live without are Pirates Booty, GoGo Squeeze applesauce, GoGo Squeeze yogurt, Goldfish, Veggie Straws, Annie’s Gummy Bunnies, and suckers for the occasional be kind to your sister / please stop whining bribe. And to hold their snacks we are obsessed with My Travel Tray. Both girls have one in their seats and I have one up front. Definitely a lifesaver in the car!

Activities

I plan to have MANY car friendly activities for the girls. Some of the actives that I have packed are coloring books & new markers, Boogie Boards writing tablet, books, card games, and an iPad loaded with games. I am purchasing them each a lap desk to have a hard surface for coloring and such.

Movies

I will be packing a lot of Disney movies to get them excited for meeting their favorite Disney Princesses as well as some of their  old favorites to help pass the time.

I will do a follow up post to let y’all know what worked, and what didn’t, as well as anymore tips and tricks for traveling with kids.

What is on your must pack list for road tripping with the kiddos?
