Raising a child in Lafayette is truly a privilege that I find often taken for granted. Acadiana, really, is a unique treasure and it is no wonder why Lafayette was rated as one of the happiest cities, in 2014. The people are hard-working and they live well. It is important to me that my daughter know her roots and understands the importance of culture and diversity; and, in my opinion, there is no other place that embraces our history, like Lafayette.
