Your last meal in Lafayette would be … Making this decision is like grocery shopping on an empty stomach … I can’t do it. I want it all. Boudain balls, shrimp and grits, sweet potato biscuits from Social, Shrimp PoBoys. I really could go on.

Raising kids in Lafayette is … SPECIAL! Milly is growing up around people who are, in many ways, very different from our Texas family. She will grow up eating different foods, hearing different accents, seeing different landscapes. Even though we can drive “home” in under 4 hours, Lafayette is culturally unlike our hometowns. We are ready for the pandemic to pass so we can actually enjoy a festival season and embrace more of Lafayette!

Her last meal in Lafayette would be … If I was going to have my last meal in Lafayette, I would want to take in not only the delicious tastes that this city has to offer but also its unique culture.  Therefore, I would spread out my meal throughout various spots downtown.  I would start off with drinks and tapas at Pamplona.  Afterwards, I’d walk down to Pop’s Poboys and enjoy a Jala-back Shrimp Poboy.  Then, I’d hop across the street to Carpe Diem for some gelato.  Finally, I’d head over to the Blue Moon Saloon or The Hideaway on Lee to enjoy a nightcap and the best live music that Lafayette has to offer.

Favorite snowball flavor … Though I have tried a lot of flavors, I always come back to my childhood favorite-bubble gum.

She believes the best king cakes are found … at Kellers (Amaretto Walnut can’t be beat)

During ULL games, you’ll find her … Probably at home….I’m not a big football person, but I do love me some Lady Cajun Softball and Ragin Cajun Baseball.  You’ll usually find me at the ballpark enjoying the sunshine with a beer in my hand.
