There are a lot of things that make the Hilliard Art Museum on the campus of UL Lafayette great.
Incredible artist talks on Wednesday nights? Check. Fantastic artwork on view that you can’t see anywhere else? Check. Programming specifically designed for families and the community? Check. This all sounds amazing, right? That’s not even the best part. The best part of the Hilliard isn’t our programming, or our artwork: it’s our membership program.
You don’t have to be a member to enjoy visiting our museum, but being part of our membership circle at the Hilliard means being part of something bigger and better than you can imagine.
Museum memberships never lose their value. In fact, the value of your membership increases every time you walk through our doors with your family, engage in new 
experiences, learn about different viewpoints, and make memories together in the galleries. Museums encourage the idea of lifelong education and the Hilliard is no exception: from infants to seniors, everyone belongs here, and everyone can learn from, and enjoy being around, artwork. At the Hilliard, we believe that art transforms, and having a membership means you have access to a space that supports discovery, empathy, trust, community building, and more.
Not only does membership at the Hilliard ensure you always have access to the awesome things going on at our museum, your membership can also give you access to benefits at other museums and institutions across Louisiana: several of our membership levels allow you to enjoy free admission to the Louisiana Arts and Sciences Museum in Baton Rouge, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans, and Vermilionville here in Lafayette (just to name a few!)
Membership at the Hilliard also means that you are supporting operations at the museum.
Because of the support of our members, we can offer free admission days, develop programming for school groups, offer exhibitions from international artists, and more. Our members help to create a better art community and museum experience for everyone, every day.

Saturday, February 15th, the Hilliard is hosting its first official “Be A Member Day”, and we would love for you to join us.
