Costco Travel :: Just Book It!

Costco Travel :: Just Book It!travel with Costco is worth it

Like many people, my husband and I are always looking for a quick getaway. We typically take two or three family trips a year, but we were both wanting a quick couples weekend. We enjoy all types of vacations so neither of us were location specific. When we are traveling with kids in Louisiana, we tend to stay closer to home, but that was not the case this time.

When I started researching just a few weeks prior to the dates we had in mind, I did my standard flight price checks on our usual quick city trips (Chicago is my personal fave!). But the prices weren’t great and the dates just weren’t working out. I’ve always noticed the travel pamphlets when I’m shopping at Costco so I decided to take a look at what they offer. I’ve never used a travel agency before so I wasn’t sure what to expect.

Costco Travel has its own website and it is very easy to navigate. You can search domestic and international vacation packages, as well as rental cars, cruises and hotels. Doing research about Costco Travel, most people save anywhere from 2% up to 30% when booking a trip through them.

After searching through their offerings, we booked a vacation package to Cabo San Lucas. We considered other locations but taking hurricane season into account, we decided on Cabo. The pricing compared to booking directly through the resort website was amazing! Through the resort, we would have paid more for 3 nights of standard accommodations than we did for the entire package which included airfare, airport transfer, and 3 nights with a room upgrade.

The resort was all inclusive and also came with $50 per day room credits, should we want to purchase a bottle of wine or champagne at dinner. As an added bonus, we also received $108 Costco Cash Card as well as 3% cash back using our Costco Visa.

We were pleased with all aspects of the trip. The airport transfer was seamless, the resort delivered more than promised and the convenience of booking along with the great pricing makes me a return customer, for sure!

So next time you need to book a trip, seriously look into Costco – I don’t think you’ll regret it.
