Here in South Louisiana, we are knee deep in celebrating Carnival. Everywhere you turn it’s Mardi Gras this Mardi Gras that. When all of the partying is over on Tuesday, there is another holiday the very next day. Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching and while most will be tired and recovering, it still needs to be celebrated.

Here is a list of all of the Valentine’s events going on in the area.

Galentine’s at La Femme Lingerie

La Femme Lingerie is throwing a Galentine’s Party on Thursday, February 1^st. This is a great night to hang with your girls for a night of laughter, dancing, and girl power. The night will include treats from Bonne Vie and a preview of new lingerie collections.

Parc Village

If you and your honey love the arts, Parc Village has the events for you.

First on the agenda is Hip Hop with Lydia Young is offered the first Friday of every month from 7 pm – 8 pm. This class is designed to help dancers of all levels master the art of hip hop dance, focusing specifically on the foundational techniques and movements that serves as the backbone of this energetic genre. The cost is $10.

Art After 5 with Fantasia Cormier will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 7 pm- 9pm. At this after-hours event, art lovers will take a stroll through the gallery and discover new art. This event is free and open to the public.

On Sunday, February 11^th Fantasia “Fancy Son” Cormier will showcase her latest works that are dedicated to the legacy of Cleopatra at Parc Village. The afternoon will consist of great art, light snacks, great music, and lovely engagements. Tickets are $10.

Louisiana Cajun Mansion

Louisiana Cajun Mansion is hosting a sushi class with dinner, sake, and adult beverages on Friday, February 16^th at 6:30 pm. The class will be taught by Chef JiJi. Guests will dine on sushi rolls, lo mein, fried rice and eggrolls. An open bar will be included for beer and wine with a cash bar for other adult beverages. This is a great way to learn from one of the best sushi chefs in Acadiana and dine on amazing food.

Bougie Bar

On Valentine’s Day Bougie Bar is hosting a BOGO Valentine’s Day Social. One reservations gets you the materials to make one candle in the container of your choice and a Bougie Expert to guide you along the way. The spot is buy one get one free! This is a BYOW (bring your own wine or beverage) event.

Bonne Vie Macarons

Bonne Vie Macarons is inviting you and your girls to join them on Galentines Day for sparkling champagne, a breakfast for dinner menu, classic rom-com trivia and Galentines Disco PJ vibes on Saturday, February 10^th form 6:30-8:30 pm. Each ticket includes bottomless fresh fruit juice mimosa and make your own Bloody Mary bar, a breakfast for diner buffet and a tray of breakfast themed maracons, fresh fruit and mini desserts and access to an exclusive specialty dessert case. The best part is you get to come dressed in your favorite pajamas and slippers.
