Ascension Episcopal School is your destination for an exciting summer filled with engaging experiences and hands-on learning! University Camps, a newly created area at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, is preparing for the summer camps season with a variety of youth camp offerings. Studies show that participation in summer camps are beneficial for childhood development. Youth Summer camps offerings will include athletics, recreational, leisure and educational camps. These camps will consist of day camps and also weeklong camps all held on the campus of UL Lafayette. New camps will be added throughout the spring, so be sure to check the camps website regularly. Children will explore the campus of UL Lafayette and learn about campus traditions and history in a fun and unique environment.

Week-long musical theatre days camps are offered every week during the summer months for students ages 4-18. Camps are designed to create a hands-on theater experience, and are focused on building performance skills, self-confidence, and teamwork. Typical camps include team competitions, rotations through drama, dance, music, and visual art workshops and an impressive concluding showcase for family and friends. There’s no better place for kids to learn about theater and have fun than in CYT’s positive and encouraging atmosphere – and every camper gets the opportunity to perform on stage!

Has your child ever wanted to play in a band? At School of Rock Lafayette, they can! We offer a variety of week long performance-based music camps for all skill levels. Students ages 5-18 who want to play bass, guitar, drums, keyboard, and/or vocals are welcome.
Throughout the week, they’ll find out what it means to be a real musician, learning songs and techniques from skilled instructors, all while developing teamwork skills with their bandmates. On the last day, they’ll perform live for friends and family!
