Welcome to the enchanting world of Bonne Vie Macarons’ Cook Book Club!

I recently embarked on this culinary journey myself, and let me tell you, it was an absolute game-changer. In the midst of my busy schedule, where every minute feels accounted for, finding time for social activities seemed like an impossible feat. But when I stumbled upon the Cook Book Club at Bonne Vie, I knew I had discovered something truly special.Recipe For Friendship :: Navigating Socializing As A Mom, The Cookbook Club Every Lafayette Mom Needs To Attend At Least Once

So, what’s the secret sauce behind this fabulous club, you ask? Let me walk you through it:

Each month, Bonne Vie selects a cookbook as our guide to culinary exploration. This month, we delved into the delectable recipes of the “Emily In Paris Cookbook” – oui, oui!

Participants eagerly sign up for their chosen recipe, ready to whip up 16 servings of culinary magic. Trust me, every bite is worth savoring!

The Cook Book Club experience is not just about the food. Oh no, it’s a multi-sensory adventure that delights and inspires at every turn. From sampling handcrafted cocktails (hello, French 75 and sidecar!) and unraveling the secrets of mixology from a seasoned bartender to handmade pizza crust and first time chefs, every moment was infused with fun and flavor.Recipe For Friendship :: Navigating Socializing As A Mom

Now, here’s where the magic truly unfolds – in the art of making new friends.

As a newly self-proclaimed introvert, the thought of mingling with strangers initially made me a tad apprehensive. But as I immersed myself in the warmth and camaraderie of the Bonne Vie community, my fears melted away.

Sure, some attendees were already acquainted, but many of us were meeting for the very first time. Yet, as we bonded over our shared love for cooking and adventure, conversations flowed effortlessly, and friendships blossomed before our eyes.

My adventure didn’t stop there! Inspired by the Cook Book Club’s spirit of exploration, I took a leap of faith and served up La Pissaladière – an Anchovies and Onion Tart that pushed me out of my culinary comfort zone. Pissaladière is a tart made on either a pizza-like dough or puff pastry. It is similar to pizza, except instead of sauce there’s a bed of sweet caramelized onions. I’m a caramelized onion fan so even with anchovies it still felt safe. And guess what, it was a hit!

Pro Tip: I made a roasted garlic anchovies paste too for the base of the of the tart so I wasn’t so intimated at first bite like the original recipe calls.

Beyond the kitchen, the Cook Book Club offers something truly invaluable – a chance to reclaim time for yourself amidst the chaos, to indulge in your passions, and to connect with kindred spirits who uplift and inspire you.

So, to all my fellow moms yearning for a taste of something new, I urge you to embrace bravery and join the Cook Book Club at Bonne Vie Macarons. Trust me, the memories you’ll create and the friendships you’ll forge will be worth every moment.

Here’s to embracing new connections, savoring delicious experiences, and finding joy in the simple pleasures of life – one recipe at a time.

Bon appétit, Lafayette Moms!
