This month for our “Be the Change Spotlight” I’d like to introduce you to Safehouse, an organization whose mission is to live out the gospel of Jesus Christ by ministering to the needs of our neighbors. Whenever and wherever there is a need, the goal of the Safehouse family is to meet it.

All Safehouse outreach programs rely solely on community support. Donations of the following items are always accepted {Please call 337-232-3974 for drop-off information}:
- Gallon-sized green beans
- Gallon-sized corn
- Gallon-sized corn
- Gallon-sized pork n beans
- Gallon-sized chili (no beans)
- Gallon-sized pickle spears
- Gallon-sized jalapenos
- to-go plates
- plastic forks
- disposable napkins
- XL hot dog trays
- Squeeze bottles of mustard
- Squeeze bottles of ketchup
- Squeeze bottles of mayo
- Cases of bottled water
- Cans of Coke, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, Sprite, 7-up, or Root Beer
Financial donations may be made via the Safehouse website HERE. One hundred percent of the donations collected are used for operating costs; there are no administrative fees or paid staff. Volunteer opportunities and supply requests are also posted as needed at Safehouse’s Facebook page.
