Lafayette’s Top 4 Toddler Bday Party Spots

Is it just me or does it seem like every weekend is another child’s birthday party? From friends to family, apparently August, September and October is the hot time to throw a birthday party every single weekend. We’ve even got to the point where we are invited to parties from friends at daycare. And truly, there’s nothing cuter than seeing your child play with their classmates. Along the way, you can’t help but figure out which party destinations are the crowd favorites. If you’re on the hunt to find which will be the biggest hit for your toddler’s birthday celebration, look no further for the best and local party destinations.

Kid’s World

If you haven’t visited Kid’s World yet, now is the time. It is a young child’s dream playground. Think of the play area at Kart Ranch except smaller and cleaner – and an ideal place for toddlers to expend all their never-ending energy. The best part is parents can even play at the bottom level. Refreshments are also provided including gourmet popcorn, pizza, and dipping dots. The party room at Kid’s World is large and perfect to house all your child’s friends and adults. Your children won’t want to leave this birthday!

The Children’s Museum

Many may not realize you can host a party at your child’s favorite museum, but birthdays are welcome at The Children’s Museum. It might be a challenge to pull them away for cake and presents, but they will love exploring all the different activities and play. There’s always something new for your child to learn, and they will enjoy the play that comes with it.

Kids Swim Playground @ City Club

What’s more fun than a swimming party? Especially when it’s a high-end facility like City Club with a Splash Pad, huge slide, lazy pool, and more? Swimming parties are always a hit and your toddler is sure to enjoy every minute of this water adventure. You do not have to be a member to host a party at City Club, although by the end of this party, you might want to join so you can experience this fun atmosphere every summer weekend.

Palmetto Island State Park

If you don’t mind a drive to Abbeville, and appreciate an inexpensive party venue, Palmetto Island State Park could be just the perfect party destination with its large and interactive splash pad. There is a huge nearby room, complete with a large kitchen and bathrooms, that allows you to rent out the whole day for a small fee, perfect for cake, games, and presents.

Your Best Toddler Gift

This is our favorite toddler gift to give. It is always a hit, and not too expensive, clocking in at around $15 at Target. You’ll be the new favorite at the birthday party. Nothing is more exciting for a toddler than another art project.

Bonus: For the Mom Who Needs A Present Stat

When you just don’t have time to make it to the store and to gift wrap on your own, stopping at Caroline and Company is a great birthday “hack.” They have an ever-expanding kids’ section with adorable clothes and fun toys. The best part? They will gift wrap for you! Keep them in mind next time you’re fighting time on the clock to finish errands and attend another kid’s birthday party.

Katie Templet
A kid at heart, Katie loves all things writing, Harry Potter and musicals. At any moment, she is down for either a cup of coffee or margarita. Her passions are building and improving her community of Lafayette, where she was born and raised, and teaching her one daughter to have a British accent. (Not so successful at that last part yet). She spends her day as a nonprofit ambassador, helping nonprofits amplify their mission and creating more social good.
