Birthday Freebies Galore :: The Art Of Collecting Birthday Freebies

Celebrating a birthday is typically a joyous occasion, I know it is for me. I’d like to share a birthday tradition of mine that takes the celebration to a new level! All those apps that you have on your phone most likely offer you a birthday freebie, especially the food ones! Who doesn’t love to get a free gift on their birthday?!

Me and my sister have made it a birthday tradition to collect as many birthday freebies as possible during our birthday month.

We make it a whole event by mapping out where and when to collect our birthday freebies based on expiration dates and locations. We collect so much food we usually have free lunch every day for weeks, or even enough food to serve for dinner to the family. It’s also great bonding time for both of us since adulting takes up a lot of our time these days.

If you haven’t done so already, open those apps and collect your freebies. It’s simple, the app usually notifies you that your birthday is approaching and that it’s time to collect your freebie. The free item is usually time sensitive so I’d suggest collecting the ones that expire first. Be strategic so that you don’t lose any items due to missing the expiration date. Places like Target gives you 5% off your in-store or online purchase. Great American Cookie Factory/Marble Slab gives you $5 off any purchase, making your purchase free if your total is under $5 since there is no minimum requirement. Chick-fil-A gives you a free birthday dessert. The list goes on and on, which I love.

Open those apps that you have on your phone, which you’re most likely already using, and enter your birthday. Once you enter your birthday you’re all set, they’ll notify you around your birthday if they offer a birthday freebie. I’ve learned that the majority of stores do offer you something. If you don’t have an app for a store that you frequent, add it because you’re sure to be missing out on some type of birthday freebie or discount.

Do you collect birthday freebies? If not, do you plan to start?
