Acadiana Myco returns Tuesday, June 30 at the South Regional Library Large Meeting Room for another evening of hands-on mushroom cultivation, open lab learning, and community discussion.
Our recent meetups have continued to grow, bringing together beginners, hobby growers, gardeners, nature lovers, and curious community members interested in learning more about fungi and mushroom cultivation.
This meetup will continue our open lab style format where attendees can see different stages of cultivation in person, ask questions, and participate in live demonstrations alongside experienced growers.
Topics and demonstrations may include:• Agar to agar transfers
• Cloning mushrooms to agar
• Liquid culture discussion
• Grain inoculation
• Grain to substrate transfers
• Fruiting body demonstrations
• Contamination troubleshooting
• Beginner cultivation guidance
• Open mycology discussion and networking
