Join us at Pack and Paddle on Sat July 25, 2026 from 10:30 am to 1 pm for a fun hands-on workshop type class to learn about and be creative painting kindness rocks. This is a free event. All supplies will be provided, such as paint brushes, different color paints, and rocks. No previous painting experience or skill required. Franny will explain all the details, show examples of painted rocks to give you ideas and inspiration, and help answer any questions. The inspiration and theme for this workshop will be nature and outdoor adventures!
Kindness rocks are hand painted rocks with cheerful images and have kind or inspirational words on them, that can be given out to friends and family, or others. They can also be placed at various spots in the community for people to find, which may help brighten their day. If you are interested in seeing more about kindness rocks featured in this event, you are welcome to check out the Rocking Cenla page on Facebook.
This event is open to all ages: adults, teens, and younger school age kids as well. Parents can decide what minimum age is appropriate for their kids to work on painting rocks with parental supervision. Tables and chairs will be set up as needed depending on attendance. Limited to 25 participants that want to paint up to 2 to 3 rocks each, so that we have enough supplies for everyone. Class participants are not required to paint any rocks, and are welcome to just attend the class to watch, listen, and learn. You are not required to stay the entire class time, and can leave when ready to go. Registration is not required, but feel free to let us know if you plan to attend.
