The New Press On Nails That Are A Must Try

The New Press On Nails That Are A Must Try

If you recall, I am in an on again and off again relationship with the nail salon. I am constantly seeking new ways to have nice nails without going to the salon. The past month or so my social media feeds have been full of ads from Glamnetic Nails. This site claims that they stay on for up to two weeks. I must admit I was intrigued. I did my research and watched a bunch of reviews on YouTube and TikTok. One of my favorite beauty influencers tried the nails out, and they lasted longer than two weeks. After seeing that video, I was sold!

Glamnetic Nails are sold on their website, as well as Ulta, Target and Amazon. They offer several lengths, such as super short, short, medium, and long. They also offer different shapes, such as almond, round, oval, and coffin. The website also sells lashes and offers bundle deals. The nails range from $11 to $20. They come with many different designs in lots of fun colors.

After I did my research, I set out to decide what design I wanted. Now this is where it got tricky for me. I am extremely basic when it comes to my nails. I like them short as I am very active and use my hands a lot. I am not a fan of super bright colors or designs. It took me a while to decide on a set because none of the designs appealed to me. I finally decided on the super short set named Silver Lining, that was in a nude pink with a silver line across the top of each nail. The most basic nail I could find. I ordered on Amazon, so I could get them quickly. The nails came with a nail file, alcohol pad and glue. Applying the nails was so simple! I filed my nails down, used the alcohol pad to clean my nails. I applied the glue to my nail and the press on nail. And voila! my nails were done! Now even though I chose super short, I still found them to be too long for my liking, so I filed them down to a more comfortable length. I immediately noticed how thick the nails were, they did not feel as thin as other press ons. They actually felt like acrylic nails.

But would they really last two weeks?

As I said, I am very active. I work out with weights; I type all day. I cook and clean often. So I was not very hopeful that they would last. The nails survived my regular weekdays of typing, but the real test would come on a Saturday. This particular Saturday, I worked out. I went grocery shopping. I cleaned the house and did laundry. I meal prepped. I washed and styled both of my girls’ thick manes. By the end of the day, I had lost two nails. I was very surprised that I did not lose more. It was very easy to reapply the nails. Simply file the old glue from my nail, clean with alcohol and reapply. When the following Saturday came around, they all remained intact. Talk about shocked! These nails really do last! I am a believer.

Pros

These nails do exactly what they say they do. If removed properly, they can be reused, which makes the investment minimal. They can be purchased online or in store, which makes them an easy choice when purchasing press-ons. They offer multiple lengths, shapes and designs, if that’s your thing. They are very easy to apply and look like acrylic nails.

Cons

Now this is totally my opinion, but I would prefer if they offered solid colors with no designs. I must say that I got tired of looking at the same design by the end of week one. Truth be told, that is the only con I have for these nails.

The Verdict

I will definitely purchase again. They are perfect for when you want the nail salon look with out spending the money or taking the time to go to the nail salon. I say give them a try!
