The Youngsville Sports Complex Is Expanding! The Youngsville Sports Complex Is Expanding!

Youngsville has grown tremendously over the years and is continuing to expand with new restaurants, entertainment and events. The Youngsville Sports Complex is no exception! This past summer, The Youngsville Sports Complex added the Pixus Splash Park which my kids love (it also has aquatic wheelchairs available for use). The Sports Complex is a wonderful place for the community to enjoy recreational outdoor time, sports on both the adult and child level as well as competitive sports. The Youngsville Sports Complex was named the 2022 Champion of Economic Impact in Sports Tourism by Sports Destination Management Magazine. This new expansion will allow an even greater economic impact to the community.

So what can you expect from the expansion?

A new all-inclusive playground! While the final details are still being worked out, The Youngsville Lions Club has poised itself as the sole donor to make this playground a reality. It will be located on the east side of the soccer fields and bring the total number of play structures offered to 3!

4 Highschool/Collegiate Baseball Fields designed to allow a greater range in the outfield. These fields will be multi-purpose in its ability to host both baseball and softball teams.

An Ampitheater will allow for events to be hosted.

8 Pickleball Courts will be added during this expansion. Currently, pickleball can be played in the indoor Youngsville Recreation Center. But as pickleball has gained popularity there is a need for additional courts and will provide the outdoor space to play.

When will it be completed?

While construction is always dependent on the crew and weather, it is projected to be completed by June 2024.

Why is the expansion so important?

This expansion will provide the space for additional games and events to be hosted at a a new caliber. The ability to host these events will provide additional revenue to both the Sports Complex and the City of Youngsville.

Ultimately, The Youngsville Sports Complex is a wonderful space for families to enjoy outdoor time together with something for everyone to enjoy!
