My son is a gamer — he absolutely loves it and would play all day if I let him. While I try to keep a balance with other activities, gaming definitely has his heart. We recently had an opportunity to visit a new business in Lafayette, Gateway Gaming, and it’s already his new favorite spot!
A Gamer’s Paradise
Gateway Gaming is the newest gaming destination in Lafayette, located in the downtown area. It’s a welcoming space for gamers of all levels. As soon as you walk in, you’ll be impressed by the setup: rows of PCs, endless gaming options, and plenty of ways to play. Not sure if they’ll have your favorite game? Send them an email beforehand — if it’s available, they’ll make sure it’s loaded and ready for you when you arrive.
My son and his friend loved that controllers were available for PC gaming. There were also multiple consoles, including PlayStation and Nintendo Switch systems. You can use what’s provided or even bring your own. Large TVs and comfy chairs make it easy to settle in for hours of fun.
More Than Just Gaming
One of the coolest features is the option to stream while you play. My son recorded himself gaming, and while I don’t allow live streaming, we were given the option to download the video and watch later at home. Into Dungeons & Dragons? Gateway Gaming has a great space for tabletop adventures, along with a private area for board game enthusiasts. There’s also an eSports section where players can practice or compete. Gateway Gaming offers birthday party packages, eSports competitions, and a fun, relaxing atmosphere perfect for gamers of all ages.
