Gift Ideas :: Six Non-”Thing” Gifts for Mom

My house is full of STUFF. Never did I think that two adults and two children could have so many possessions. As the holidays come up, my family is making our list and checking it twice. As I look through my gift options, very few of them take up any more room in my already crowded home. If you or a loved one are looking for a gift change up this year, here are a few of my favorite non-things.

Hampr Membership

If you love laundry, you’re a unicorn. If you’re anyone else, a Hampr membership is a great gift to give to busy parents. Once you create a membership through the mobile app, simply fill the laundry baskets provided and use the app to schedule your laundry pickup. A Hampr-certified washer will pick it up, handle the laundry for you, and bring it back clean and FOLDED! A true dream.

Marriott Gift Cards

Almost every parent I know could use a night away from the kiddos. A Marriott gift card allows your loved one to choose a hotel/Marriott property that they are looking forward to and can use when the time is right for them. Give them something to look forward to that they can use at a time that’s right for them.

Spa/Manicure/Facial Certificate

Nothing says relaxation like getting out of your house for some pampering. A couples’ massage, a mani/pedi, a skin glow up–all options that will leave your loved one with something to get excited about and feels like a true treat that they’ll want to use.

Concert Tickets

Take a look at who is coming to your city or somewhere nearby. Is it one of your friend’s favorite bands? Is it someone you have never heard of but is a genre your spouse loves? Have you been dying to see a new venue but have not had an excuse to go? You have one now! Concerts or other shows are a great way to let a loved one know you pay attention to their interests and are looking forward to time with them in the future. Win win!

A scheduled photo shoot

Most parents have thousands of photos of their kids on their phones, but most of the time they are not in the pictures with them. Grab a gift card or schedule a family session with a local photographer. You’ll be supporting a local business AND giving a great gift someone may not think to get themselves.

Reese’s Book Club

Okay so this is technically a physical item, but it’s definitely on my wishlist this year. Reese Witherspoon formed a book club where each month she chooses a woman-centric story. The books she chooses are almost always a hit, and the reading moms in your life will love having something to look forward to each month.
