Broussard Community Fair (Broussard) :: Nov. 23rd- 24th. Come One, Come All…..We are thrilled to invite you to a milestone celebration—the 100th Broussard Community Fair! For a century, our beloved fair has brought together family, friends, and neighbors for a memorable weekend of fun, and this year promises to be the biggest one yet.
Christmas at the Barn 2024 (New Iberia) :: Nov. 23rd & 24th. We will have over 30 vendors of handmade crafts, Santa pictures, sweets, and so much more!!!
Christmas at Couret Holiday Market (Lafayette) :: Nov. 30th. We will have pictures with Santa, live music throughout the day and delicious food trucks adding to the ambiance of our market area with over 60 vendors. Our vendors will be feature jewelry, clothing for adults and children, customized wreaths & t-shirts, bath and body products, baked goods, and more! This event is free to attend.
Santa’s Sleigh Ride and Holiday Shopping (Lafayette) :: Nov. 30th. Come ride Santa’s Sleigh and shop til you drop at all the fine retailers in the South College Center! Plus children’s activities and entertainment from 12:00-3:00pm and 3:30-5:30pm. Santa Sleigh Rides on additional dates as well.
Cajun Country Christmas (Abbeville) :: Nov. 30th. This market is made possible by Flightline Markets. Come shop from 9am-2pm.
Holiday Artisan Market (Youngsville) :: Nov. 30th. The Holiday Artisan Market in Youngsville is presented by Leadership Youngsville Class V. All proceeds will be used for additions to the Inclusive Playground at the Youngsville Sports Complex! Shop for handmade goods leading up to the holiday season while supporting a great cause! The market will be set up next to the Inclusive Playground at 405 Railroad St.
Christmas in the Village (St. Loreauville) :: Nov. 30th. Free event begins at 6 pm at the Town Hall. Pictures with Santa , lighting of the tree, live music and performances by LHS Tiger Band, LHS Cheerleaders and LHS Tigerettes. Food, shopping, games, roasted marshmallows and much more!
Lighting of the Nativity and Market (Opelousas) :: Nov. 30th. The holiday season is upon us, and Opelousas Main Street presents a cherished tradition that has been lighting up downtown for over seven decades. On Saturday, November 30, 2024, the heart of downtown will come alive with festive cheer at the Lighting of the Nativity on the Courthouse Square.

Noël à Broussard (Broussard) :: Dec. 7th. Join us in downtown Broussard for the 2024 Broussard Christmas Parade! The parade begins at the corner of Morgan Avenue and Albertson Parkway, and will head up Morgan Street, take a right onto Main Street, and end at Arceneaux Park. After the parade join us in front of Broussard City Hall for Reindeer Games, Face Painting and balloon artistry, Papa Noel’s Market, Christmas Carolers, and The Annual Lighting of the City Christmas Tree.
Sonic Christmas Parade (Lafayette) :: Dec. 8th. The annual parade marks the official arrival of Santa in Lafayette. Santa is the star of the parade which will also have floats, high school marching bands and dance clubs. Kids should bring any letters for Santa to the parade where they will be collected and mailed to the North Pole. The Sonic Christmas Parade is a perfect opportunity to get into the holiday spirit.

Christmas Artwalk in Paris a la Breaux Bridge (Breaux Bridge) :: Dec. 14th. Join us for a festive celebration filled with art, music, and holiday cheer. Atchafalaya Christmas (Henderson) :: Nov. 29th & 30th. Dec. 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 23. Papa Noël is headed back to the Atchafalaya Basin for the sixth year! McGee’s is again offering swamp tours led by Papa Noël (aka Santa Claus) himself! The 60-minute tour will share the story of “The Cajun Night Before Christmas.” After each tour there will be family photos with Santa, ornament decorating (with a swamp-theme), hot chocolate, cookies, and candy-canes.

A concert of Christmas music featuring internationally acclaimed bass-baritone Andre Courville and the Atchafalaya Orchestra with special guests Grammy nominated trio Sweet Cecilia, Louisiana Red’s star vocalist Jennifer Kaye, Grammy nominated accordionist Corey Ledet, and others.
A Zydeco Christmas featuring Keith Frank (Lafayette) :: Dec. 5th. The Zydeco Boss, Keith Frank and the Symphony will light up the stage with more than 100 musicians to present this beloved Lafayette Christmas tradition, and ASO’s second-ever performance of Zydeco, infused with all of your favorite Christmas classics. Chubby Carrier’s Christmas Concert (Lafayette) :: Dec. 6th. The holiday festivities begin in Parc Sans Souci amidst a winter wonderland experience as the community gathers for the lighting of Downtown Lafayette’s 25-foot Christmas tree and an evening of live music featuring Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band.
Frozen Jr. (Lafayette) :: Dec 6th – 8th. The enchanting modern classic from Disney is ready for your Broadway Junior stars! Frozen JR. is based on the 2018 Broadway musical, and brings Elsa, Anna, and the magical land of Arendelle to life, onstage. The show features all of the memorable songs from the animated film, with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, plus five new songs written for the Broadway production.

“The Nutcracker” (Lafayette) :: Dec. 14th & 15th. This full-length classical ballet in two acts features Lafayette Ballet Theatre professional company dancers, Principal guest artists from Pacific Northwest Ballet (Seattle, WA), and more than 130 local dancers. CHICAGO: The Musical (Lafayette) :: Dec. 17th. CHICAGO is still the one musical with everything that makes Broadway shimmy-shake: a universal tale of fame, fortune, and all that jazz, with one showstopping song after another and the most astonishing dancing you’ve ever seen.
The Creole Nutcracker (Lafayette) :: Dec. 21st. The Creole Nutcracker puts a Louisiana twist on the 19th Century fairytale and immerses the audience in the captivating world that is unique to Louisiana. The production is seasoned with the food, the language, and the music of the charming Creole Culture.
Mannheim Steamroller Christmas (Lafayette) :: Dec. 23rd. America’s favorite holiday tradition for more than 35 years! Grammy Award winner Chip Davis has created a show that features Mannheim Steamroller Christmas classics in the distinctive Mannheim sound. The program includes 15 musicians playing more than 20 instruments against a backdrop of dazzling multimedia effects – capturing the spirit of the season in an immersive yet intimate setting.
5k’s & Fun Holiday Runs ::
Cajun Cup 10k & 1 Mile (Lafayette) :: Nov. 9th. Run or walk your way through historic views of Lafayette at this fan-favorite race! Cajun Cup 10K and 1-mile race is a fundraiser supporting the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Cross Country and Track teams. All 10K and 1 Mile Runners will receive a finisher’s medal upon completion of the race.
Tunnel to Towers 5K (Lafayette) :: Nov. 10th. The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty!
10K Ruck & Run for Heroes (Youngsville) :: Nov. 10th. This will be a 10k loop course, non-timed, where participants can choose to run/walk the course or throw a rucksack or backpack on and do a military-style ruck along the way!
The Great Pumpkin Run 5k (Crowley) :: Nov. 16th. We will be hosting a 5k run to benefit Bennett James Guidry, son of David and Joelle Guidry, and the INADcure Foundation. Aside from the 5k, we will have food, activities for the kids, a bake sale, auction/raffle items and music.
Semper Fi Strides 5K & 1 Mile Walk/Run (Lafayette) :: Nov. 16th. Run or walk through beautiful River Ranch in Lafayette for a 3.2 mile route that will make you proud! We will have a presentation of the Colors prior to the start of the 5K and food and fun after the event.
Turkey Chase (Lafayette) :: Nov. 21st. Join us for an evening of hilarious holiday fun as we waddle, run, and chase our way through this festive game! .Will you be the one to catch the turkey, or will you just end up with a handful of feathers?
Broussard Community Fair 5K/1 Mile Run (Broussard) :: Nov. 23rd. We are excited to continue the tradition of kicking off the Broussard Community Fair and raising funds to support our wonderful Parish & Community.
Cajun Strong (Lafayette) :: Nov. 23rd. Cajun Strong is a strength and endurance event that will test your mental toughness and physical condition. The event consists of 4 rounds: Rougarou Run, Poboy Pushups, Climb de Coush Coush, Pirogue Pull.
Camellia Crossing- Acadiana’s Gleaux 5k (Lafayette) :: Nov. 27th. On Thanksgiving Eve, light up the night sky with us by wearing things that GLEAUX as we run or walk down Camellia Blvd for the 20th Annual Camellia Crossing: Acadiana’s Gleaux Run. Your registration fee and the funds you raise will make a direct impact on lives in Acadiana.
JPJ Memorial 1-mile Turkey Trot(Lafayette) :: Nov. 28th. A timed 1-mile run/walk Thanksgiving morning through Moncus Park in memory of JeanPaul Judice. Our mission is to continue to spread JeanPaul’s unconditional love and desire to help those in need. We are happy to team up Catholic Charities of Acadiana to raise money for St. Joseph Diner.
Dasher Dancer Prancer 5K (Carencro) :: Dec. 7th. The run will be in conjunction with Carencro Country Christmas. After the race, stop in and partake in the Carencro Community Center’s Christmas Activities.
Meche’s Mile by Tour de Lafayette (Lafayette) :: Dec. 8th. Participants will have the option to run an open mile or a DONUT mile (my preferred option!). I am excited to announce we are partnering with Meche’s Donut King, so participants in the donut mile must finish one Meche’s glazed donut before crossing the starting line and complete a one-mile loop around Moncus Park.
Cajun Country Run (Lafayette) :: Dec. 14th. Acadiana’s Oldest half marathon is the most beautiful running course in Lafayette. Runners have the options between either road races or trail races. Queen City Christmas Parade (New Iberia) :: Dec. 14th. Bayou Traditions Inc. will present the annual Downtown New Iberia Christmas parade. The parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. 100,000+ lights have been installed along the parade route, which runs from Lee Street to Jefferson Street. There will be Christmas floats, dance schools and band performances along with plenty of Christmas throws.
Very Berry Christmas Quest (New Iberia) :: Dec. 14th. A family scavenger hunt to celebrate the Christmas season in Iberia Parish. Louisiana Lights (Baton Rouge) :: Nov. 29th – Dec. 29th. Louisiana Lights will captivate visitors of all ages and take them on a journey through illuminated garden rooms, past a sparkling lake and a shimmering tunnel of light on the grounds of the former Burden family home.
Gulfport Harbor Lights Winter Festival (Gulfport, MS) :: Nov. 29th – Dec. 31st. Over the years, the show has expanded into Mississippi’s Largest Christmas Light Show with over 1.5 million lights throughout 40 acres in Jones Park. Today, visitors can ride carnival rides, hop on a train at the Train Station, or enjoy the “Dancing Trees” Show. Children’s Hospital New Orleans Holiday Parade (New Orleans) :: Dec. 7th. The event, which has been nominated as a Top 10 holiday parade among USA Today readers, is back with a longer route and signature throws. The 30-float parade will include custom, holiday-themed floats that feature animatronic props, intelligent lighting systems, special effects and audio systems, along with traditional rider floats, bringing the joy and magic of the holiday season.
Build Your Own Gingerbread House at the Ritz-Carlton (New Orleans) :: Dec. 7-8, 14-22nd. Children of all ages are invited to build a festive gingerbread house. Price includes one gingerbread house with all of the decorating essentials and holiday refreshments. Each house can accommodate up to four guests.
