Your Milestone Should Be a Celebration
Your days as parents never truly end. But as your babies grow, blossom into their teenage years, and eventually adulthood, you’re given space to celebrate milestones differently, this time as husband and wife, not just as mom and dad.
Just recently, my husband and I celebrated something huge (in our eyes). What followed was an absolute adventure from beginning to end, and it was worth every penny and every second.

At some point, you begin to realize just how short life can be. You think about all the things you want to do, some bucket list dreams, some simply living-in-the-moment moments — yet life happens, time passes, and sometimes change never becomes reality.
The difference between my husband and me? I’m the “you only live once type”. He’s the “let’s save a little more” or “let’s wait a couple of weeks and see if prices change” kind of guy. And then there’s me saying, “Oh yeah… remember when I said book it and you said let’s wait?” and just like that, the deal is gone. Those moments have turned into fun conversations and laughable memories, and honestly, they’re part of what makes us work.
Twenty Years of Marriage
Whoa! Twenty years! How awesome is that? That’s exactly what we said to each other. Through all these years, we’ve grown closer to God, praying daily and keeping Him at the forefront of our marriage. Married couples know that marriage brings everything: the good, the hard, the beautiful, and the getting through. It’s a daily partnership, and one we continue to choose.
So when it came time to celebrate our twentieth wedding anniversary, we chose what worked best for us. We decided to go all out. The “you only live once” mindset finally reeled him in, and I loved every second of it.
First Class Flights – First Timers

Holy smokes. It’s a whole different world up in the front section. The food. The service. The space. We were truly living the dream. From takeoff to landing, both there and back —there isn’t a single negative thing we could say. First time for everything took on a whole new meaning that beautiful late July into early August anniversary getaway. To this day, we still reminisce about it all.
Celebrating at Sandals Regency La Toc
We chose Sandals Regency La Toc to celebrate our milestone. While we aren’t new to the Sandals family, this resort was new to us — and it did not disappoint.
Recommended by our good friends, Bryson and April, it was absolutely amazingly beautiful. Thank you both so much!
Our Stay

Our experience was nothing short of incredible. A helicopter ride (another first), three Sandals Butlers who provided exceptional service, a breathtaking sunset photo shoot, and endless fun in the sun, whether by the pool or on the beach. Every restaurant served unforgettable dishes, and the drinks were just as amazing.
Seven full days of paradise. Seven days of reconnecting, laughing, and growing closer to each other. We toured the island, enjoyed a mud bath, and soaked in every moment. Leaving was hard, but there’s comfort in knowing we can always return.
Time away together brings love, peace, and the rekindling of us. A reminder of where it all began and how far we’ve come. God did it. Without a doubt.
It Doesn’t Have to Look Like This
Our journey looks different than the next, and that’s okay. Milestones and celebrations come in all shapes and sizes. What matters most is choosing to celebrate yours, whether it’s a first, a leap of faith, or something completely out of the norm.

Don’t let life keep passing by. You only live once isn’t just a saying — it’s the truth.
Make that milestone yours!
Make it count!
Make it today!
