Spend a Dairy Free + Gluten Free Day With Me in New Orleans

Come with me to spend the day visiting local restaurants in New Orleans, Louisiana, while eating every meal and snack completely dairy and gluten-free, without compromising any taste or local flair!
- Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
- The Mission: To eat every meal — Breakfast, Lunch, Snack, Dinner, and Dessert — at a local restaurant with 0 gluten and 0 dairy.
Coffee & Breakfast
- The Spot: Lamara Coffee & Kitchen
- The Order: The Grain Free Waffle (comes with coconut cream, fruit, and raw almond butter), cardamom vanilla latte with almond milk
- The Vibe: Lamara Coffee & Breakfast is an entirely vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free restaurant. An individual with food allergies will be in heaven here. The coconut creme that comes with the waffle is absolutely amazing. You can also stock up on DF and GF snacks from their counter and fridge.

The Mid-Day Lunch
- The Spot: Blue Oak BBQ
- The Order: Two meat plate with brisket + pulled pork with slaw and pinto beans, house BBQ sauce
- The Vibe: Blue Oak is a family favorite of ours. Stop by to get the best BBQ in Mid City New Orleans. Enjoy the house BBQ sauce, which is safe for dairy and gluten allergies!
The Afternoon Snack
- The Spot: Breads on Oak
- The Order: Gluten Free brownie
- The Vibe: Breads on Oak is the most adorable little cafe on Oak Street. Its navy blue exterior always caught my eye! This cafe is entirely plant-based, and some of their pastries are gluten-free as well! Arrive early because they close at 3 pm daily!

The Main Event: Dinner
- The Spot: G’s Pizza
- The Order: Vegan Narcissist on Gluten-Free crust
- The Vibe: G’s Pizza is a fabulous little hole-in-the-wall restaurant within a cozy neighborhood. Its interior is tiny, so we love sitting on the patio!
The Dessert Finale
- The Spot: Piccola Gelateria
- The Order: Dairy Free chocolate 70% gelato
- The Vibe: This quaint gelato shop is run by a sweet Italian couple who has been making small-batch gelato for over 45 years. All of their flavors are divine, and they are kind enough to offer a few dairy and gluten-free options. The Chocolate 70% tastes exactly like whipped dark chocolate!

Eating gluten-free and dairy-free can be tricky!
