Looking for a village of lights to light up your holiday experience? LARC Noel Acadien au Village in Lafayette, Louisiana is the perfect place for your family to enjoy spectacular holiday lights in Louisiana this season. This family friendly adventure is packed with fun activities for kids of all ages, pictures with Santa, local cuisine, local shopping, and over a half-a-million lights on display. Including this life-size, fully functioning, chapel pictured behind me above!

Luckily we still get some warmer nights in December here in South Louisiana, so we packed up the kids and headed to the earliest showing at 5:00pm to enjoy the lights, dinner, music, rides and burn those extra before bedtime jitters. The kids got to run around the outdoor experience and burn energy while we were able to enjoy a festive holiday atmosphere.

good holiday light displays in Lafayette, LATips for enjoying the village :: I strongly suggest getting tickets ahead of time and planning to carpool as much as possible. If grandparents are coming along we have them ride with us. Depending on the weather the parking lot can get muddy; it is an open field so comfy shoes that can handle the outdoors might be required. Parking and ticket entrance can get crowded but beyond entry there are direct paths that keep the crowds moving nicely.

LARC uses this wonderful Christmas experience to support individuals and families with developmental disabilities in our local community. They are a non-profit making direct impacts here in Acadiana, which is lovely to support during the holiday season.
